Finally Some Swell!

22/03/12 Well today finally brought some swell to South Arm, Tasmania. It has been a long time since I last surfed Wedge and although it was a little inconsistent and only 2ft on the sets, it was a fun surf and far better than the closeout banks that have been on offer lately!  Lets hope this swell moves some of the sand around on all the beaches.

Hope you got wet today…

Colours of the Sunrise

17/03/12

The surf had great shape but was  just a little too small to surf today… The flip side was that, the sunrise was amazing. A colour show that made you feel good to be alive… Well worth the trip to the beach even if you didn’t get your feet wet.

Dead Whale at a Tasmanian surf beach

The remains of a whale have been leftfor nature to deal with at a popular Tasmanian surf spot. The whale remains are at South Arms, RSLs surf spot. I don’t think I will be surfing there for a while….

It was amazing to get so close to the whale and get an idea on how big they can get. It would have been a better experience if the whale was in the water and alive, but it was still fascinating to see it…

14/05/11 Seven Mile Point Surf

There were some small clean waves on the Hobart point breaks today 14/5/11.  Mt Wellington was covered in snow but that didn’t stop Tasmanian surfers from getting plenty of fun waves!

Seven Mile Point provided some perfect 2 ft waves, but I think most surfers would have loved it to of been bigger…

Enjoy the pics
